Robert Allen Zimmerman was born in 1941 in United States and he is a famous singer and songwriter, whose work in the 1960s, first in the folk-music tradition and from 1965 in an individualistic rock style, was influential on later pop music.
Short Biography:
Dylan's early songs, on his albums Freewheeliri in 1963 and The Times They Are A-Changin' in 1964, were associated with the US civil-rights movement and antiwar protest. When he first used an electric rock band he was criticized by purists, but the albums Highway 61 Revisited in 1965 and Blonde on Blonde in 1966 are often cited as his best work.
His increasingly obscure lyrics provided catchphrases for a generation and influenced innumerable songwriters.
