Blink-182 was a boy band who played pop punk and punk rock.

Biography and Career :

The group was founded in 1992 by Tom DeLonge who played the guitar and vocals and recruited Mark Hoppus who played the vocals and bass and Scott Raynor. At the beginning the band was named simply Blink.

In 1994 they released their first album called "Cheshire Cat" and after they became popular a band in Ireland with the same name threatened with legal action. They became Blink 182 and after three years released another album, "Dude Ranch". In 1998 Raynor was replaced by Travis Barker. Between 1999 and 2003 the band recorded other three albums: "Enema of the State", "Take off Your Pants and Jacket" and "Blink-182". Jerry Finn was the producer of their album in 1999 and they had the biggest suc cess until then. Singles like "What's My Age Again?", "All the Small Things" and "Adam's Song" entered the charts immediately.

In 2005 they decided to break up just after they canceled a Music for Relief's Concert for South Asia. DeLonge founded a new group, Angels and Airwaves at the end of the year 2005. The next year the new band released an album, "We Don't Need to Whisper". The other two members from Blink 182 continue in the new band +44. They have many fans and accepted to be a group again in order to appear in a documentary about modern punk music.
