Bipasha Basu was born on May 5, 1979 in Delhi, Mumbai, India. She is an Indian actress and model who appears in Bollywood films. She is often regarded as a sex symbol. She is 5'8½" tall and dusky in appearance. Her first name means "deep, dark desire" in Bengali.
Biography and Career :
She is the second daughter in her family. Bipasha Basu was raised in Kolkata and studied for a business degree. She won the Ford Supermodels Contest at the age of seventeen; she was also named Tulips Miss Super Vivacious. Many modeling jobs followed.
From modeling to films is a common step in today's Indian movie industry. Bipasha's debut movie was Ajnabee (2001). The movie was fairly successful and she was quickly signed for m
ore movies.
Bipasha Basu attracted a lot of attention with her roles in Raaz (2002) and Jism (2003). Jism was unusually explicit for Bollywood films.
She has also appeared in music videos, such as the famous Tu... for Sonu Nigam's album, Kismat.
