He acted in the movie "The apostle" in which he played the role of Joe in 1997. He also acted in the movie "Secondhand Lions" in which he played the role of a Biplane Truck Driver in 2003.
Billy got his fame from the television series "Independent Lens" which was released in 2004. He played the role of Reverend Shekelton in the movie "The Wendell Baker Story" which was released in 2005. His recent appearance is in the television series "Bait Shop" which was released in 2008.
