Bill Burr (aka Billy Burr) is an American stand-up comedian. He was born June 10, 1968 in Canton, Massachusetts. At the end of the year of 1995, he moved to Los Angeles, California, where he started work on a number of film and television productions.He currently resides in Los Angeles.

Billy performs over three hundred shows annually. He had two movies released in 2006 and has also performed as a guest star on The Late Show with David Letterman. In 2004, Billy began working on Chappelle's Show as comedian and writer and in September 2005, his HBO One Night Stand special aired. It was a great success.Along with many other projects, Billy has also been a guest comedian on the Bob and Tom Show as well as on the Opie and Anthony Show on XM Satellite Radio.He has also performed on the Comed y Central Presents show.

Billy first gained fame for his recurring role on the second season of Chappelle's Show. Billy gained more acclaim when he became a regular performer on the popular show Late Show with David Letterman.
