
Biagio Messina is a director, producer and actor. Biagio is a Parma native and went to the Parma High School Class of 1992. He then attended Cuyahoga Community College and eventually headed to Los Angeles. On the third day of class at UCLA, he met his wife,Joke. Joke & Biagio married on March 24, 2001.
The couple's first movie project, "Grandma and Me," was based on the festival winning play written by Biagio. They financed the production, filmed in Parma, with $38,000 he won on the game show "Majority Rules". The couple wrote, directed, produced and acted in the movie, which went on to play in many festivals.
Based on that movie, Biago was cast on "Kenan and Kel," a Nickelodeon show, where he played the role of next-door neighbor, Marc Cram.
Biagio and Joke eventually became prod
ucer/directors for a show called "Caesars 24/7" for the A&E network. They also went on to produce projects such as "Oh Baby Now What" for A&E, "Science of Love" for NBC, and seasons four and five of "Beauty and the Geek" for The CW network. They decided to launch Joke Productions and "Scream Queens" is their company's first major production.
