As a model she was one of the first African-American to appear on the cover of the famous Vogue magazine.
Between 1971 and 1973, she was married with Billy Potter. On May 8, 1977 she got married again, this time with Danny Sims. They have one child. Unfortunately, their marriage ended in 1979. One of her longest relationship was with Chris Noth, who is also an actor.
