Benicio Del Toro was born on February 19, 1967, in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He is a famous Puerto Rican actor.
Biography and Career :
His parents were lawyers. His mother died when he was 4 and four year later, his father moved to Pennsylvania, in Mercersburg. The were living at a ranch. After graduating the University of California in San Diego, Benicio Del Toro took acting classes. Although his family encouraged him to become lawyer, Benicio Del Toro obtained a scholarship at Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting. He moved to
Los Angeles where he studied at Actors Circle Theatre, receiving his first part in TV and also a part in the soap opera "Miami Voice".
He was a drug-dealer in another soap opera "Dr
ug Wars: The Camarena Story" (1990). His most important part might be Duke, the Dog-Faced Boy in "Big Top Pee-Wee" (1988). Because of his physical aspect Benicio Del Toro becomes "one of a kind" in Hollywood, at first in 1995 in "The Usual Suspects". He is the third Puerto Rican actor to win the Oscar for the best secondary part. Another important award for his career is also the Golden Globe in "Traffic" (2000).
