Becki Newton (birth name Rebecca Sara Newton) was born on July 4, 1978 in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. She is a successful actress.

Biography and Career :

She spent her childhood mostly in Guilford, Connecticut. As a child she started acting in musicals and plays at local theaters. She attended the University of Pennsylvania and received a degree in European History after finishing studies. Coming back to New York she began appearing in television commercials and advertisements.

She is the writer and host of "Movie Junky", a show on TBS. "Ugly Betty" gave her the fame she was looking for after acting in the role of Amanda Tanen in this comedy-drama series. For this role she received a Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series nomination at the Emmy Awards in 2007. She was also seen in movies like "The Men's Room", "American Dreams", "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" or "August Rush". Some say she will also appear in the second season of "Ugly Betty". Her fans can't wait to see her again in the television series and of course in other films.

On May 12, 2005 she married Chris Diamantopoulos. She is a beautiful blonde woman with talent and charisma. Her success won't stop here we are sure.
