Bebe Moore Campbell (Elizabeth Bebe Moore ) was born on February 18, 1950 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. She is a famous Author. She has written many Novels and books on literature topics.

Initially Bebe's interest on mental health of Children which led her to write her first children's book, "Sometimes My Mommy Gets Angry" which won the "National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) Outstanding Literature Award" in 2003.
She also wrote other books on mental illnesses, which includes, "Even with the Madness" and "72 Hour Hold".

Bebe has also done journalism for magazines like: "The New York Times Magazine", "The Washington Post", the "Los Angeles Times", "Essence" and "Ebony".
She was married to Ellis Gordon Jr and had two children . At the age of 56 she died from br ain cancer on November 27, 2006 in Los Angeles, California.

Why was she famous?

She was well known for her Novel "Your Blues Ain't Like Mine", which was awarded as 'New York Times' "Notable Book of the Year" and the winner of the NAACP Image Award for Literature.
