She started her career from stock theater and has also hosted a show on radio "The Beatrice Kay Show". Besides her singing career she has also appeared in many TV serials like, "Ironside", "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour" and "Night Gallery".
Her movies include, "A Time for Dying", "Ginger in the Morning" and "Diamond Horseshoe".
Unfortunately she died on November 8, 1986 in North Hollywood, California.
