Beano is a famous English Comic which is edited by Alan Digby. Initially Beano Comic was edited by Euan Kerr till summer 2006.
It was published by D. C. Thomson & Co. Ltd, and is meant for young and older children.

Beano was first appeared in July 26, 1938 and was weekly published. Beano had to suffer the paper and ink shortage right after the second World War, cause of which other comic named "The Dandy" had to be published with Beano on basis on alternate week publishing.
The Special iconic features of Beano Comic were such as : "Dennis the Menace", "Minnie the Minx" and "The Bash Street Kids".

Why is it famous?

In early days it was famous for being the most demanding comic cause of which it had to be mailed through sea several times.
It has remained as the most running comic through generations.
