Beanie Siegel also known as Dwight Grant was born on March 6, 1974 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is an American Rapper and Singer.
In the beginning of his career he signed a contract with Rock-A-Fella, where he released his debut "The Truth" and later his second album "The Reason" in 2001.
Siegel was later charged for federal weapons and was House arrested for one year. During that period he wrote his third album "The B Coming", which was released in 2005 and also the split of Rock-A-Fella took place.
Later in September after the release of his third album, he was charged by a jury of shooting a man to death in a crowd.
Siegel had a Sunni Muslim Faith, but his history on his faith on the religion has always remained complicated.
He has been consistently asking for forgiveness f rom Allah in his many songs from the album "The B. Coming".
In 2006, he was shot in his arm during a robbery and in 2007 he released his fourth album, "The Solution".
He has acted and sung songs for many movies like, "State Property", "Boiler Room", "Light it Up", Death of a Dynasty" and "Paper Soldiers".
Siegel is planning to form a Super Group with Ice Cube.
