He was the Junior United States Senator. He did his graduation from Columbia University. He was the first African American president.

He began his run for the presidency in February 2007. After a close campaign of Democratic Party Presidential Primaries in 2008 against Hillary Rodham Clinton. He won his party's nomination and became the first major party of African American candidate for president.

Obama became chairman of the Illinois Senate Health and Human Services Committee in 2003. He announced his candidacy for President of the United States on February 1 0, 2007.
