Badi Assad was born on 1966 in Si£o Paulo, Brazil. She is a famous singer as well as a songwriter and guitarist.

She grew up in Rio de Janeiro till she was twelve. She is from a complete music background as her father Jorge Assad plays bandolim, and her two older brothers Sergio Assad and Odair Assad, are guitarists. She won the "Young Instrumentalists Contest" at the University of Rio de Janeiro in 1984 and later in 1987 she was named as the "Best Brazilian Guitarist of the International Villa Lobos Festival".
Badi has toured many places like Europe, Israel and Brazil for the Duo Romantique concert.
She sings in English and Portuguese and was honored with "Best Acoustic Fingerstyle Guitarist" in 1997. Due to the disability fa
ctor, she was not able to play between 1998 and 2001. After that she released her first collaborative album with Jeff Young in 2002 and the album named "Nowhere".
Badi has released several other albums like, "Wonderland", "Solo", "Ondas" and "Verde".
