Axl Rose was born on 6th February 1962 in Lafayette, Indiana. He is American musician, and the lead vocalist of hard rock band Guns N' Roses.
Biography and Career:
Axl Rose is the son of Sharon E. Lintner. He comes from a Scottish decent and German ancestry. When he was 2 years old his father deserted him and his mother. His mother then met Stephen L. Bailey in 1965 and they got married soon.
When he was Los Angeles he performed for many bands like Rapidfire, Rose, L.A. Guns and Hollywood Rose. He has worked as a night manager at the Tower Records location on Sunset Boulevard.
Later he and his L.A. Guns bandmate Tracii Guns formed Guns N' Roses in March 1985. It was a merger of L.A. Guns and Hollywood Rose. In 1986 the band signed a contract with Geffen Records and re
corded four songs EP, Live?!*@ Like a Suicide, on their own label, UZI Suicide, in December the same year.
Their debut album Appetite for Destruction was released in the United States on July 21, 1987. Apart from being a musician he has also lend his voice for Tommy "The Nightmare" Smith, former lead singer of the fictional 1970s rock band Crystal Ship and radio DJ of Classic rock radio K-DST, in the game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. He has also been the background performer in a funeral scene in Clint Eastwoods movie "The Dead Pool" in 1998 along with the other member of the Gun'N'Roses band. He has also produced the movie version of the Almost Home in 2009.
