Audrey Meadows is the daughter of Rev Francis James Meadows Cotter and Ida Miller Taylor. She is the youngest child among the four children. During the 1920's her family went back to their home in Sharon, Connecticut. After completing her high school she shifted to New York and th
ere she became a singer in the theatre show Top Banana before she became a regular singer for Bob and Ray. She was then chosen to play the role of Alice in The Jackie Gleason Show.
She has acted in many films with Dean Martin on his television shows. After working with him she did a comedy show Too Close for Comfort in 1980 I which she played the role of a mother-in-law. She also did a guest appearance on The Red Skelton Show and she also appeared in an episode of The Simpsons.
