Asami Konno was born on May 7, 1987 in Sapporo, Hokkaidō, Japan. She is a famous Japanese Singer. In 2001, Asami joined the J-pop group Morning Musume, where initially her performance at the, "Love Audition 21" was called a mediocre, but cleared due to her potentials.

In October, 2001, she debuted her first group's thirteenth single, "Mr. Moonlight ~Ai no Big Band~".
On March 27, 2002 her first album was released named "4th Ikimasshoi!". In the same year in Summers she participated in "shuffle unit", as part of "Odoru 11". She also starred in a drama named, "Angel Hearts", which released in 2002.

Why is she famous?

She is well known for being the only member of the Morning Mesume who achieved the highest score in "Mecha-Mecha Iketeru!" in 2001.
