Arianna Huffington is the daughter of Konstantinos, a journalist and management consultant and Elli Stassinopoulos. When she was 16 years old she shifted to England. She studied at Girton College at Cambridge University. She was the president of the Cambridge Union Society in 1971 and she was the third woman to be the President if the Cambridge Union Society. In 1972 she completed her BA in economics.
After she completed her graduation she shifted to London. When she was the panelist on the TV show "Face the Music" she met journalist and broadcaster Bernard Levin with whom she lived. She then left Levin in 1980 and shifted to Unit
ed States.
She wrote many articles for National Review in 1980. She wrote the biography of Maria Callas, Maria Callas â€' The Woman behind the Legend in 1981 and then she wrote the biography of Pablo Picasso, Picasso: Creator and Destroyer in 1989.
For various traditional causes like Newt Gingrich's "Republican Revolution" and Bob Dole's 1996 candidacy for president she was known as a trustworthy backer. She also acted in a few shows like Roseanne, The L Word, Help Me Help You, and the film EdTV. She appeared with Jon Stewart on "The Daily Show" in 2004. She has also been connected with the Democratic Party.
