Antonio del Pollaiolo (c. 1432-1498) and Piero (c. 1441-1496) was Italian artists, active in Florence.
Short Biography:
Both brothers were painters, sculptors, goldsmiths, engravers, and designers. The Martyrdom of St. Sebastian in 1475 (National Gallery, London) is considered a joint work.
The best-known individual works are Piero's set of Virtues in-Florence and Antonio's engraving The Battle of the Nude Gods about 1465. Antonio's work places a strong emphasis on the musculature of the human figure in various activities.
