Biography and Career:
Anouska Hempel is from the Russian and Swiss German ancestry. She was born on a boat that was en routed from Papua New Guinea to New Zealand. Her father was a sheep farmer in New Zealand. Later she and her family shifted to Cronulla, south of Sydney. After shifting to Sydney her father started his own garage. She went to the Sutherland High School when she was a teenage. She dropped out from high school when she was 15 years old and got trained as a psychiatric nurse in Sydney. She then shifted to U.K. in 1962.
Her first movie was in the Hammer Horror film "The Kiss of the Vampire" in 1963. Then she acted in James b
ond movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service in 1969. In the James Bond movie she played the role of one of the angels of death. After that she performed in many movies and television programs like The Magnificent Seven Deadly Sins, Zodiac (TV Series) with Anton Rodgers, which was the altered copy of comic strip Tales of Tiffany Jones, and Russ Meyer's controversial soft pornographic Black Snake. She acted in the television series Space 1999.
She is an hotelier and a designer who is known world wide. She is ranked as one of the top100 interior designers and architects in the world by the Architectural Design. So far she has formed 4 hotels. One of the world's first luxury boutique hotels Blake's Hotel was formed in 1978. Blake's Hotel is in South Kensington and the hotel is famous for its design, service and privacy. Her other restaurant projects are Shy in Jakarta and Tom Aikens in London.
