Anne Frank (1929-1945) was an German diarist who fled to the Netherlands with her family in 1933 to escape Nazi anti-semitism.
Short Biography:
During the German occupation of Amsterdam, they remained in a sealed-off room 1942-1944, when betrayal resulted in Anne's deportation and death in Belsen concentration camp.
Her diary of her time in hiding was published in 1947.
