Anna Vissi was born on December 20, 1958 in Larnaca, Cyprus. She is a very talented singer.
Biography and Career :
She sings modern laika, pop and dance and since 1973 she is a singer, and a famous one. In 1977 she participated at the Annual Song Festival of Thessaloniki and won the prize for best singer and best song. Between 1978 and 2007 she released 31 albums and sold 9.5 million albums.
She is a famous singer especially in Cyprus and Greece but in 2005 became a star in the United States after her single "Call Me" became number one in the Billboard Dance Charts. In 1983 she married Nikos Karvelas, but the couple divorced in 1990. They have one child. Many people know her as 'The Greek Madonna'. At Eurovision she first participated in 1980 for Greece. She sang "Autostop"
and was placed on the 13th position. In 1982 she participated for Cyprus with the song "Mono i Agapi" and won the fifth place.
She is a famous and talented singer, songwriter and composer and a strong and beautiful woman. Her career is so successful thanks to her work and dedication. Millions of fans bought her albums during the years and she is very thankful to them because without fans a star wouldn't exist. She says that her favorite song is on her 2005 album "Nylon" and it is called "Logia Kai Siopes".
