Anjanette Comer was born in Texas. She is the daughter of Rufus Franklin and Nola Comer. Before pursuing her career in acting she studied for two years at the Pasadena Playhouse. She took part competitions like beauty pageants, basketball tournament and cheerleading when she was a teenager. Before she shifted to California she studied at the Baylor University in Waco, Texas. When she was 18 years old she shifted to California.
Her first television role that was recognized was a guest appearance in an episode of Gunsmoke in 1963. After that she has acted in many series in the 1960's like Dr. Kildare and Bonanza. He debut movie was a comedy movie "Quick, Before It Melts" i
n 1964.
She then played the love interest of Marlon Brando and John Saxon in the adventure movie The Appaloosa in 1966. She acted with Robert Wagner and Jill St. John in the movie "Banning" in 1967 which is golf based movie. After she acted as Ruth in film version of John's Updike's Rabbit Run in 1970 her acting in movies dropped down. In 1977 she acted in the movie Fire Sale and in 1983 she acted in The Long summer of George Adams which was made of Television. Later she started doing mysterious and exotic roles. It is now four decades since her debut movie bur she is still acting in movies and TV series. She has acted with nearly 55 productions.
