In the year 2000, she was signed up by a modeling agency from Paris after she took part in a modeling competition. During late 2000, she walked the ramp professionally for the first time for brands like Nina Ricci and Givenchy. But she didn't start modeling full time until her education was completed. In 2002, Anja moved to New York.
