Angelique Kerber was born on January 18, 1988 in Bremen, Germany. She is a young talented tennis player.

Biography and Career :

When she was three years old she started for the first time to play tennis and in 2003 became a professional tennis player. On July 23, 2007 she was ranked on the 71st position in Top 100. This is the highest position she has ever achieved. Until now (2007) she has won eight ITF single tournaments and two ITF doubles tournaments. More than one thousand hundred dollars were earned just from tennis.

Besides tennis in her free time she likes listening to music, swimming, going shopping and dancing. Her parents' names are Slawomir and Beata and they have another daughter, Jessica. At the Australian Open and US open she hasn't yet qualified. In 2007 at the French open and Wimbledon she managed to qualify and play into the first round before being eliminated. She is a left handed player and has a double-handed backhand.

Even if she hasn't won a WTA title yet she is fighting and working to accomplish this. She is talented and many say we will soon see her winning tournaments. Germans hope to have another great champion and they wish her luck. We hope that she won't suffer injuries and she can continue her training. Besides Martina Muller she is the best ranked German player in the present.
