Andrew JacksonAndrew Jackson was born on March 15, 1767 in Waxhaws, South Carolina. He was the 7th president of the United States of America, after Washington, J. Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Monrol an F. O. Adams.

Biography and Career :

Andrew Jackson was one of the founders of the Democratic Party in the United States. He is known as an important figure in creating the Second Party System in the America politics between 1820-1830. He ruled the United States of America between 1829-1837. This period of time is known as Jackson's democracy. At first, Andrew Jackson was Governor of Florida. In history he is known also as the "Old Hickory". "Hickory" is a strong-wood-tree, originar in North America and Indo-China. This is relevant for his powerful political fight and his strong personality as it is known in history. Andrew Jackson was the first president of the United States to be associated with the American frontier. Although he had been born in South Carolina, he spent most of his life in Tennessee.

His former wife was Rachel Donelson and his later one was Emily Donelson Jackson. His wife and his daughter-in-law Sarah Yorke Jackson, also his grand-daughter Robards Jackson, were First Ladies of America. He was president of the United States until March 3, 1837, being followed by Martin van Buren. He died on June 8, 1845, in Mashville, Tennessee.
