Andreea Antonescu was born on September 7, 1982 in Galati, Romania. She is a famous Romanian singer.
Biography and Career :
She started her career when she was 6 years old in a contest in Galati named "Si eu voi fi o stea (I'll be a star someday - English Title)". Andreea Antonescu won the contest from a total of 400 singers and her mother and grandmother felt very happy for her.
Andreea Antonescu launched her first album at the age of 12 and it was written by Adrian Ordean. The album was named "Din Vina Ta" and it contained 10 songs.
Andreea Antonescu and Andreea Balan joined together and formed "Andre" being
one of the most successful band in Romania. They won a lot of music contests and a lot of awards. They sold over 1,2 millions of albums in their 3 years of activ
ity.
In spite of her almost daily concerts Andreea Antonescu graduated high-school successfully.
"Andre" broke in 2001 when the 2 singers went to a solo career.
Andreea Antonescu started again her solo career changing a lot of her previous components : her look, her music style, her aspirations.
Andreea Antonescu accepted to take nude photos for Playboy Magazine in 2002 having one of the most specatular pictorials of the magazine. About her apparition in Playboy she says it's her conversion from an adolescent girl to a woman.
Andreea Antonescu's second album was named "Andreea" and it contained 8 songs composed by the most famous Romanian composer Marius Moga. This album was sold in over 35,000 pieces in almost 6 months and Andreea won "Discul de Aur" for that.
Her next album was "Cand Dansam (When We Dance - English Title)" and it contained 10 songs with different styles composed by Marius Moga, Papa and Robby G. . This album is an important step in her career. She had a new look in front of Romanian people and her fans because she was a more sexy woman and more mature than before.
In 2005 after a 2 year break when she had only US tournaments, Andreea launches her 4th album named "Metamorfoza" colaborating with a lot of Romanian singers like : Marijuana, Connect-R., R.A.C.L.A
