Anais Lameche was born in French Alps, France. Her first solo song "Us against the World" was featured in the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen movie Holiday in the Sun in 2001. After "Us against the World" she recorded the song "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me". Chris Trousdale features in the song.

An album "Replay" was released in 2003 and two songs from the album "Whole Again" and "I Must not Chase the boys" were super hits. After the album was released a member of the team Faye Hamlin quit the group to continue her studies and modeling and instead of her Janet Leon was taken. The Christmas album "Play around the Christmas Tree" was released in 2004. The album has 10 of their favorite Christmas songs.

Play's manager Laila Bagge noticed Anais at her dancing school in Taby, Sweden as asked her to join "Play". A few solo songs and harmonies were sung by her in Play. She was the oldest member of the band. Like her other band mates Faye Hamlin, Anna Sundstrand and Rosie Munter she also wanted to pursue her career in modeling. She, Faye Hamlin and another new member Sanne Karlsson returned to "Play" as a trio in 2009.
