Biography and Career:

Amy Locane was born and brought up in Trenton, New Jersey. She was brought up by her mother. She was noticed by a local photographer when she was 10 years old and sent her pictures to an agent in New York. She traveled to New York with her mother for giving her auditions for commercials and she used to do her home work in the train. She had appeared in nearly 50 commercials by the time she was 12 years old. Her debut role on television was in the series Spencer on NBC in 1984. She played the role of Chad Lowe's younger sister.

Her debut role on the sliver screen was in the movie Lost Angels in 1989 directed by Oscar winning director Hugh Hudson. In this movi e is acted with Donald Sutherland. The other movies in which she acted are Cry-Baby (1990) with Johnny Depp and directed by John Waters, School Ties (1992) with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon and Tony Richardson's Blue Sky (1994). She won vital rambles for her role as Jessica Lange's daughter.

She was then chosen by Aaron Spelling to be in the original cast of Darren Star's "Melrose Place" when she was 19 years old in 1992. After performing in 13 episodes of Melrose Place she got roles in other movies like Bongwater in 1997 with Brittany Murphy, Luke Wilson and Jack Black, Carried Away in 1998 with Dennis Hopper. She also did a supporting role in Secretary in 2002. She has also in Mystery Woman in 2003 for the Hallmark channel.
