
American Hi-Fi are an American pop punk band from the city of Los Angeles which is in California.
Career:
They originally hail from Boston in Massachusetts. The band members are vocalist Stacy Jones, guitarist Jamie Arentzen, bassist Drew Parsons, and drummer Brian Nolan. Before the group came together, Stacy Jones was a well-known drummer in the USA for the instrumental role he has played in a number of successful alternative rock bands such as Veruca Salt and Letters to Cleo. The band American Hi-Fi has a close relationship with Miley Cyrus. The band shares three quarters of the same band members as that of American Hi-Fi. The group follows a mixed musical style that incorporates influences from genres like pop punk, alternative rock, and power pop.
The group came out
with its eponymous maiden album in the year 2001. This lead to their hit single "Flavor of the Weak" after successful touring all around the place. They released their runaway hot live album called Rock N' Roll Noodle Shop, featuring them live from the city of Tokyo and then the full album called the Art of Losing in the year 2002 and 2003 respectively. The band was released from their label which was Island Records. They subsequently moved to Los Angeles to remake their production and sound. Associating with veteran music producer Butch Walker, they released Hearts on Parade in 2005. The band has toured since to a widespread fan base in Japan and in the U.S.
American Hi-Fi's came out with a self-titled maiden album through Island Records on February 27, 2001. It was a completely new concept of Allmusic 'Album Pick'.
Famous Music related Critic Mario Mesquita Borges praised it and stated that "the future of rock & roll is surely guaranteed with acts such as American Hi-Fi." The album reached #81 on the The Billboard 200 list and #1 on the Heatseekers list.
The band also attained a commercial breakthrough through their debut single, "Flavor of the Weak". It was a song that ran up the Hot Modern Rock Tracks, the Billboard Hot 100, and other charts.
