Amer Delic was born on June 30, 1982 in Tuzla, Bosnia. He is a tennis player who has the residence in Jacksonville, Florida, USA.
Biography and Career :
In 1993 he became a professional tennis player and now his coach is Paul Pisani. Until now (2007) he hasn't won any single or doubles tournament and any Grand Slam event. The year 2007 came with a quarter-final at the Challenger in Zagreb and as a doubles player he was semi-finalist at the tournament in San Jose along Kendrick and at Poertschach along Andy Roddick. Approximately half million dollars entered his pockets just from tennis.
He studied tennis at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In April 2005 he won his first Challenger in Mexico City on clay. His opponent in the final was Jeff Morrison. The other two
Challengers were won in 2006, one in Louisville and the other in Champaign, both on hard. He beat in the finals Stephane Bohli with the score 3-6 6-2 6-3 and Zack Fleishman with 6-3 6-0. His best performance at a Grand Slam event was reaching the second round in 2004 at the US Open, in 2006 and 2007 at the Australian Open and in 2007 at Wimbledon.
In 2004 he played two finals, at Dallas and Nashville, and lost them both one to Sebastien De Chaunac and the other to Justin Gimelstob. After one year he lost another final, this time in Carson to Justin Gimelstob, with the score 6-7 2-6. The year 2006 came with another four lost finals. They were played at the tournaments in Lexington, Vancouver, New Orleans and Calabasas. With hard training and being serious he can still win titles and be in the attention of the public.
