Amber Collins is an award winning female vocalist from Saltville, Va. Singing from the age of two, she has made a career of pouring out her soul through song. Staying true to her heritage, she currently is the lead vocalist for the highly renowned Newgrass band, Amber Collins and No Speed Limit.
Biography and Career:
She held the international title of Young Performer of the year in the Country Gospel Music Association for four years, and remains undefeated.
She was recently named one of the top ten female vocalists in Bluegrass Music by Bluegrass Legacy's People's Choice Awards 2010, and has just released her first solo project, On the Corner, which is compiled of original songs composed by Amber along with Josh Pickett, and features members of No Speed Limit throughout.
Amber Collins has had the honor of sharing the stage with bands and artists including the Beach Boys, Journey, Huey Lewis and the News, Mountain Heart, Ricky Skaggs, the Del McCourey Band, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, Marty Stewart, Peter Rowan and Tony Rice, the Lonesome River Band, Adam Steffey, Chris Thile, Laurie Lewis, Claire Lynch, Wayne Henderson, the Kenny and Amanda Smith Band, John Cowan, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, the Infamous Stringdusters, Larry Sparks, and Dr. Ralph Stanley.
Amber was also a performer at the welcome ceremonies for Queen Elizabeth in Williamsburg, VA for America's 400th anniversary celebration.
