Aly and AJ is a pop band which activated in 2005. The members of this band are two sisters, Alyson Renae Michalka and Amanda Joy Michalka.
The music of the band is teen pop, electro pop and dance pop. They have released several albums since 2005, such as : "Into the Rush", "Acoustic Hearts of Winter" and "Insomniatic".
Besides singing they have also acted in several movies like, "Cow Belles", "Super sweet 16 " and Haversham Hall".
Aly and AJ were nominated for "Favorite Contemporary Inspirational Artist of the Year" in 2006 in "American Music Awards".

Why are they famous?

They are famous for their debut album "Into the Rush " which was a super hit.
