Allen "Rocky" Lane was born on September 22, 1909 in Indiana, USA. He started his career in 1929 with the movie "Not Quite Decent".
During his career, Lane played roles in many movies such as: "The Tenderfoot", "The Crash", "Conspiracy" and "Black Hills Ambush". Most of his movies were in the action genre.

Lane also performed in many TV serials like, "Bonanza", "Gunsmoke", "Lawman" and "Mister Ed". He is also the executive producer to a serial named "Red Ryder".
Lane won the TV Land Award in the category "Favorite Pet-Human Relationship" for his serial "Mister Ed".
He died on October 27, 1973.
