Alistair Sim (1900-1976) possessed of a marvellously expressive face, he was ideally cast in eccentric roles as in the tide role in Scrooge in 1951.
His other films include Inspector Hornleigh in 1939, Green for Danger in 1945, and The Belles of Saint Trinians in 1954.
