Alison Carroll was born in 1985 in Croydon, England. She has been training in gymnastics from the age of 7 and has been in the field professionally as a display gymnast from the time she was 12 years old.
She was certified as a Club Coach in General Gymnastics, Sports Acrobatics and Tumbling after completing high school. She coached aspiring gymnasts and was in charge of the choreography of the junior team at the British National Championships.
In the meantime, Alison took part in gymnastic display contents. She participated in the Liverpool British Championships, Edinburgh Festival, Birmingham Ministrada, London Festival and a few other such competitions. She also represented Great Britain at the Portugal World Ministrada.
During this time, Alison Carroll auditioned for the role of
Lara Croft. In August 2008, Alison was declared as the new Lara Croft for the game Tomb Raider: Underworld. She has been busy promoting the game throughout Europe, Asia and Africa.
