Hello Ms. Walker,
I would first like to congratulate you on "The Color Purple" adaptation to Play. I am in Covington, Georgia. I was born February 9, 1966 and my people are from Tignal/Washington/Lincolnton Georgia (Bradley Family) but I was born 10 minutes from Eatonville, Florida in Orlando. I have written the screenplay "Dear Zora" based on the life of Zora Neale Hurston. The screenplay ends with you placing a marker (tombstone) on her grave. I have entered "Dear Zora" in three screenplay contests and she placed in each. In the Atlanta Film Festival Perfect Pitch contest in 2006 and in Martha Vineyard's African American Film Festival "2007."
I would love for you to read the screenplay and give me your feedback. I have already spoken with one of Zora's great neice's the Dean of a college in Northwest Florida. I was crestfallen when I missed you speaking at the NBAF. But, hopefully it's not too late :)
