Alfred Stieglitz (1864-1946), after forming the Photo Secession group in 1903, he began the magazine Camera Work.
Short Biography:
Through exhibitions at his gallery '291' in New York he helped to establish photography as an art form. His works include "Winter, Fifth Avenue" in 1893 and "Steerage" in 1907.
In 1924 he married the painter Georgia O'Keefe, who was the model in many of his photographs.
