Alexander Zinoviev Alexander Zinoviev (1922-2006) noted for his satire on the USSR The Yawning Heights in 1976, which led to his exile 1978, and The Reality of Communism in 1984, where he argued that communism is the natural consequence of masses of people living under deprived conditions, and thus bound to expand.
