Alejandra Guzman was born on February 9, 1968 in Mexico City, Mexico and she is a Mexican rock singer and actress, the daughter of Mexican actress Silvia Pinal and Venezuelan-born rock and roll singer Enrique Guzman.

Biography and Career :

After traveling with her mother's theater troupe, Alejandra Guzman recorded her debut album in Bye Mama after deciding she wanted to focus on singing.

Alejandra Guzman has had an extremely enthusiastic and dedicated fanbase throughout Latin America in the late 1980s and 1990s. Her latest album is Indeleble released in 2006.

Alejandra Guzman appeared on TV just 2 months of begin born. At age five, she started taking ballet classes, as well as tap, and jazz. As a child Alejandra Guzman would act out plays in her living room having her family as her audience.

Alejandra Guzman's preparation in becoming a star was hard and easy at the same time. Having her parents being famous was an obstacle in finding her own light, and she succeded as she's now one of Mexico's top rock performer.

Alejandra Guzman came out in TV commercials, and also had a role on two soap operas. Alejandra Guzman tried to join a few musical groups such as Garibaldi, Flans, and Fresas con Crema, but her mother wouldn't allow her to do so until she finished high school. At teh age of 17 she performed in a musical called "Mame" along with her mother. it was after this musical that she decided to become a singer.

After knocking several doors, Alejandra Guzman came into Miguel Blasco who helped her launch her first CD called "Bye Mama." Alejandra Guzman's debut was in the Show "Siempre en Domingo, " and after that her carrer took off to incredible height in the Latin audience.

In 1988, Alejandra Guzman scored one of the biggest hits of her career, her song, Eternamente Bella (Eternally Beautiful) becoming a number one hit in Mexico and many other Hispanic countries. The song is considered a classic by many Spanish rock fans.

In 1991, Alejandra Guzman gave birth to her only daughter Frida, named after Frida Kahlo. Later in 2000 she married a German businessman who was soon convicted of a crime in the United States, they divorced shortly after.

Despite being constantly harassed by paparazzi and being in the middle of multiple controversies, Alejandra Guzman still remains relatively accessible to her fans, and she signs autographs for them whenever she can. One of these such controversies occurred in April 2003 when Alejandra Guzman suffered a miscarriage. Alejandra Guzman blamed the media for the tragic ending of her pregnancy.

Alejandra Guzman has been dubbed "The Queen of Rock and Roll" by appreciative fans.
