Alberto Gilardino was born on July 5, 1982 in Biella, Piemonte, Italy. He is a famous football player.

Biography and Career :

Piacenza is the first team he played for. This is where he started his great career as a football player. He played in seventeen matches and scored three times. He went to Verona in 2001 after he was transferred from Piacenza and played in one season, 2001-2002, but did a great job for the team and in 39 matches scored five goals.

Between 2002 and 2005 he showed and used his qualities for Parma. He became a great player that time and in 96 matches he scored 50 goals, which is a great for a player and also for his team. Since 2005 he has been playing in the T-shirt of AC Milan. He was used there in 62 matches and marked 29 times.

In 2004 he started playing for his national team, Italy. In 23 matches he scored nine goals. Along Italy at the 2004 Olympics in Athens he won the bronze medal and at the 2006 FIFA World Cup the title. When he was transferred to Milan he cost £18 million. In March 2006 he and Alice Bregoli got engaged. He also helped the national team to win the European Under-21 Football Championship in 2004. Talent and hard-working have helped him to become the great and successful player he is today.
