Albert Arnold Gore (born in 1948) was an American vice president (1993-2001) under President Bill Clinton.

A Democrat, he served in the House of Representatives 1977-1985 and the Senate 1985-1993 and became noted for his concern for the environment.
Born in Washington DC, Gore graduated from Harvard University in 1969 and served as a journalist in the army as well as for a newspaper in Nashville, Tennessee, USA (1971-1976). His father, Al Gore, Snr, was a prominent senator from Tennessee.
