Adele (Adele Laurie Blue Adkins) was born in Tottenham, London, England on May 5, 1988.

Biography and Career:

When Adele was born, her mother was just 18 years old. So Adele was very intimate to her. Her father didn't spend after her, so it was her mother who went into all the hard works to let the family sustain.

Adele was allowed to learn music from the time when she was young. She used to sing at the family gatherings and for her mother’s friends at parties. Her favourite was Gabrielle’s music which she used to sing in most parties. Her love for singing lasted through her school years. Adele had sung to live audience for the time in a school concert.

Once the teenager Adele accidentally found out the touching music of Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James (when she was chec king CD covers for hairstyles) she fell in love with their music.

Adele finished her studies from the BRIT school in 2006. She took help of the web to spread her music. MySpace page was the one used since 2004 by Adele. But the visitors increased when she portrayed couple of her songs on PlatformsMagazine.com. Later these songs showed her way to concerts around UK with other promising artists.

Adele started touring in 2007 to support her maiden song "Hometown Glory", a song dedicated to her locale of Tottenham. The song took place on the UK charts on #32. This success resulted in Adele’s live TV concert with Paul McCartney and Bjorn Bjork.

2008 saw a series of releases by Adele. “Chasing Pavements” and “Cold Shoulder” were the two singles released. “Chasing Pavements” held second position on the UK charts and also ranked seventh in Ireland. The second song was released with Adele’s first album 19. This album took the first place in UK charts just after a week of its release.

The success of her first album, brought Adele glory and popularity.
