Adam Rodriguez was born and brought up in Yonkers, New York. He is the son of Janet, an airline ticket agent and Ramon Rodriguez, an executive with the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He went to the Clarkstown High School North in New City, New York. He always wanted to be professional baseball player, but unfortunately could not achieve what he wanted because of his injury and he turned his attention towards acting. He performed in a children's theatre in New York. Before he took up acting as his full time career he worked as a stock broker.
He has performed in commercials like Coco-cola. His first movie was The X-Files in which he was an extra. The o
ther movies in which he has acted are: Brooklyn South, Law & Order, Felicity, Roswell and NYPD Blue. He has also performed in few music videos like Jennifer Lopez's 1999 video, "If You Had My Love", Busta Rhymes' "Respect My Conglomerate", Lionel Richie's "I Call it Love", with Nicole Richie, Melanie Fiona's "It Kills Me", and 50 Cent's "Many Men", with Rory Cochrane. In 2009 he acted in Tyler Perry's movie "I can do bad all by myself" with Taraji P. Henson. He has also acted as Bobby in the movie "Ugly Betty". He has done a video "It Kills Me" with Melanie Fiona's R&B.
