Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809 in Hodgenville, Hardin County, Kentucky, USA to Thomas Lincoln and Nancy Hanks, two farmers. He was the 16th President of the United States, best know for ending slavery.
Biography and Career:
Lincoln's mother died when he was just of nine by milk sickness and after that Soon his father got married to Sarah Bush Johnston. He was very close to his step mother and used to call her MOM. He was very honest, confident and sincere person throughout his life. More over he was very religious minded because he used to read and learnt bible. Books remained his best friends all the time.
Lincoln's academic career consisted of about 18 months of schooling, but strangely and brilliantly, he was largely self-educated and intellectual person.
His passion was to be a lawyer and his efforts were crowned with success in 1836.He was a strong and talented local wrestler with an excellent skill of Axe.
Lincoln was greatly in love with his first love Ann Rutledge but unfortunately she died on August 25, probably she became the victim of typhoid fever. Lincoln started taking interest in a very beautiful lady and as result he engaged to Mary Todd, from a wealthy, well reputed and slaveholding family based in Lexington, Kentucky. The Lincolns anon had a beginning family, with the bearing of son Robert Todd Lincoln in Springfield, Illinois on August 1, 1843, and additional son Edward Baker Lincoln on March 10, 1846.
