Abby Elliott was born in New York. Her mother is Paula Elliott and her father, Chris Elliott, is a famous actor who was seen in TV series like Get a Life and Cabin Boy. Her grandfather, Bill Elliott, was a comedian. Following their footsteps, Abby entered the world of acting and specialized in comedies.

She joined the comedy group Upright Citizen's Brigade and began her works with them. Abby was seen a number of quality performances.
