A. P. Hill A. P. Hill (Ambrose Powell Hill) was born on Wednesday, November 09, 1825 in Culpeper, Virginia and he was a well known Confederate general in the American Civil War.
He studied at United States Military Academy in 1847. After that he got appointed to the 1st U.S. Artillery as a second lieutenant. He served from 1847-1861 in USA and from 1861-1865 to CSA.
