69 Boyz is a best seller Miami bass and hip hop group who came together from Jacksonville, Florida, but are now based largely from Orlando, Florida. The band was put together by the producers C.C. Lemonhead and Jay Ski (of Chill Deal, Quad City DJs and 95 South).

Career:

The members are called rappers and their names are Reginald "Busta Nut", La Shaun Van "Thrill Da Playa" Bryant, Greg "Slow" Thomas, Barry "Fast" Wright, Michael "Quick Skeet" Fisher, Gunderson and Rottweiler Mike Mike. The name of the group points home to the fact that all of its members were born in the year 1969.

The band saw huge success in early 1994 with their first single, "Tootsee Roll", that was a hit from theur from their debut album 199 Quad. The title attained platinum and reached #8 on the Bill board Hot 100 and #9 on the R&B chart. Many of the hit singles they have come up with include "Kitty Kitty", also from their maiden album 199Quad, which went on a high at #55 on the Billboard Hot 100, and in the year 1998 "Woof Woof", that they composed for the feature film Dr. Dolittle that starred Eddie Murphy, and also featuring in the second album, “The Wait Is Over”. The title attained #31 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Their first album that came out in the year 1994, was called Nineteen Ninety Quad. It was reference to the year of its release. The album was a runaway success in and around Florida as it was really popular with Floridians of that generation during the album release time frame. They were awarded three awards by the name Soul Train Music Award nominations in 1995. Their subsequent album album, The Wait Is Over, released in the year 1998, and their third album, 2069, in 2000.

69 Boyz are one of 6 or so bass-music production initiatives that were taken up by C.C. Lemonhead and Jay Ski (of Quad City DJ's and 95 South). The actual members that is the rappers Thill Van, Fast, Slow, and Rottweiler "Mike Mike," hooked up in Jacksonville, FL.
