Tzipora Obziler was born on April 19, 1973 in Tel Aviv, Israel. She is a tennis player who resides in Givataym, Israel.

Biography and Career :

She studied at the Old Dominion University in Norfolk. In April 1997 she became a professional player after starting playing tennis when she was a child, at the age of ten. Until now (2007) she hasn't won any WTA title. She though won thirteen ITF single titles and thirteen ITF doubles titles. She earned almost 500.000 dollars just from tennis.

On July 9, 2007 she was ranked on the 75th position of Top 100 and this is the highest position she has reached until now. The first two tournaments were won in 1997 at Jaffa and Antalya, Turkey. Next year she won again the title at Jaffa.

Another five tournaments were won in 1999, at Guima raes, Portugal, Azemeis and twi in Istanbul. 2000 came with the titles in Ashkelon and Beersheba and after two years she was the winner at Mumbai, Indonesia, and Nonthaburi, Thailand.

At the Australian Open she reached the second round in 2004 and 2005 and the first round in 2006 and 2007. Her best performance at Roland Garros was in 2007 when she managed to play into the second round.

In 2007 at Wimbledon she played into the first round but unfortunately was eliminated from the beginning. Another second round was reached, this time at the US Open, in the year 2004. She speaks fluent Hebrew and English and has served two years in the Israeli Army.
